Clear cell carcinoma (CCC) of cervix is an extremely rare malignancy, accounting to only 4% of all adenocarcinoma of cervix. The majority of cases are related to in utero diethylstilbestrol (DES) exposure and it rarely occurs sporadic. The diagnosis of CCC of the uterine cervix is mainly established based on histopathological examination. Clear cell carcinomas of cervix have a greater tendency to recur and develop metastases in distant sites; hence, even after treatment long-term follow-up is necessary to detect local and distant relapse. We report one such rare case of CCC of cervix in a 62-year-old postmenopausal woman with history of per vaginal (PV) spotting and with no history of DES exposure.
