Comparison of Intermediate Fidelity Simulation with PowerPoint Presentation and Video Lecture for Imparting the Skills of Normal Delivery to Undergraduate Students

Abstract

An intrapartum care of women at the time of normal vaginal delivery is very important. The most prevalent method for instructing newcomers in these skills is to let them deliver on actual laboring patients in the presence of an experienced practicing doctor. However, this technique may lead to insufficient skill development for the beginner since it frequently occurs in a high-stress learning setting, and the person may need help to learn the standardization of the process. With a higher focus on the improvement of clinical competencies, simulation training has become a cutting-edge educational strategy for improving the education of medical students in advance of meeting the patients simulated learning enables concentrated learning and convenient, regular practice. Medical students’ self-confidence and their ability to carry out normal deliveries are increased by simulation. At this time, simulation training enhances the education of future practitioners by improving their concentration and daily practices.
